Terms of Service

1. Eligibility (19+)

You must be at least 19 years of age and legally able to enter contracts in British Columbia. Accounts found to belong to minors are removed immediately.

Membership is currently focused on Metro Vancouver residents.

2. Verification

Members complete selfie and government ID verification through bank-grade third-party partners. ID documents are not stored on our servers.

3. Matching and messaging

Matching is based on schedule alignment, travel radius, and a strict maximum of three selected interests. There is no pre-date open messaging; text chat exists only to say hi and coordinate arrival.

The meeting café is selected as a fair midpoint between both members. Venues are public, busy, daytime locations.

4. The $5 Karma coffee pass

The $5 is a refundable authorization hold that reserves your date, not a service fee. On check-in it unlocks as a $5 digital coffee pass redeemable at the counter.

Cancel 2 or more hours before the meeting time and the hold is released in full. Failing to show without notice forfeits the hold to the member who showed up.

Payments are not active during the pre-launch waitlist period.

5. Date boundary and conduct

Dates default to a 30-minute window so either person can leave comfortably. Harassment, hate speech, solicitation, or misrepresentation results in permanent removal.

6. No venue affiliation; limitation of liability

We are an independent matching platform and are not affiliated with any café or establishment named on the site. Meetings happen between adults in public spaces at their own discretion and risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coffeedatesonly.ca is not liable for the conduct of members or third parties.

7. Changes

We may update these terms as the platform launches. Material changes will be announced by email to members.
